Questions before you install
Is Pandectes really free?
Yes. The Basic plan is free and includes the cookie banner, a cookie scan with automatic categorization, the consent list, the customer data requests page, Global Privacy Control and 24/7 live chat. Paid plans start at $9 a month, are not limited by page views, and come with a 7-day free trial. See the full plan comparison.
How long does setup take, and do I need to code?
You install Pandectes from the Shopify App Store, choose how your banner looks and which regions it covers, and the app scans your store. The banner and the auto-blocker need no coding, and everything is set up inside your Shopify admin.
Will it stop trackers until visitors agree?
The banner shares each visitor's choice with Shopify's Customer Privacy API, so apps built to read it respect it. For scripts that don't, such as those in your theme or in Google Tag Manager, the auto-blocker holds them back until a visitor consents, from the Premium plan.
Which privacy laws does it cover, and does it make my store compliant?
It covers 35 laws and regulations, including the GDPR, the CCPA and CPRA, LGPD, PIPEDA and Law 25, and many US state laws. See them all on the regulations page. With region rules, from the Premium plan, each visitor sees the banner that fits where they are.
No app can promise legal compliance on its own. Pandectes gives you the consent, blocking, records and request tools, and what you collect and how you use it is up to you, so check your setup with legal counsel where appropriate.
Does it work with Google Ads and Consent Mode?
Yes. Pandectes is a Google-certified CMP and supports Google Consent Mode v2, from the Plus plan. It is also a Microsoft-certified CMP and works with tools such as Meta, Microsoft Clarity and Klaviyo. See Google Consent Mode.
Does it work with my theme, a headless store or Shopify Plus?
Yes. It works with Shopify themes and with headless storefronts, set up manually or with the automated headless setup, from the Enterprise plan. Shopify Plus stores can add a checkout block, from the Premium plan, and Pandectes is a Shopify Plus Partner. See the store types we support.
Can I switch from another consent app?
